INSTALLING A GAME

How can I download and install a game?

  1. Choose a game and click Download or Try to launch the download of the install program.
  2. Depending on your browser choose Run or Save then follow the instructions.
  3. If you have downloaded a game from our partner Big Fish Games, the installation is automatic after the download is finished.
  4. If you have downloaded a game from Oliver Pearl or from another of our partners, find the install program and double-click to launch the installation.

How can I play the game I just installed?

  1. To launch your game, double-click on its shortcut (game icon) appearing on your Windows desktop or launch the Start menu > Programs > YourGame.

The FREE DEMO is expired. How can I continue to play?

  1. The trial period has passed.
    You can continue to play by purchasing the FULL GAME as indicated at the question How can I buy a FULL GAME?.

How can I buy a FULL GAME?

  1. Note: Before purchasing a game it is recommended to download and install the free demo to ensure compatibility with your system.

  2. Launch your free game demo and click Buy now. Follow the instructions and carefully fill in the required fields.

  3. You can also purchase a game from the OliverPearl.com website:
    Select the game you wish to buy and click Buy. Follow the instructions and carefully fill in the required fields.
    Concerning the games from our partner Big Fish Games, you must first create a free account by entering your e-mail address and a password.

  4. After your payment is processed your game will activate automatically or you will receive a confirmation e-mail containing your registration code. Please make sure that this e-mail wasn't caught by your spam protection tool or sent to your junk mail folder.
    Your registration code is personal and confidential.
    Keep it safe, you'll need it if you want to reinstall or update the game.

Is the online purchase secure?

  1. Absolutely. Oliver Pearl and its partners use the SSL technology (Secure Sockets Layers) to ensure a safe and encrypted transmission of your details. Some orders, in particular for the games developed by Oliver Pearl, are processed by our partner Plimus, an established e-commerce specialist.
    The Oliver Pearl company does not have, under any circumstances, access to your banking information.

What are the different payment options available?

  1. You can pay by credit card: Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover.
  2. You can also use your PayPal account if you have one.
  3. Please note that payment by check is not possible.

My credit card is being rejected. Why?

  1. Please make sure that your credit card is part of the accepted credit cards (see question above).
  1. Take care to fill in your banking details accurately, as indicated on your credit card and bank statements. Please respect the capitalization, the possible accents and abbreviations as indicated on your bank statement.
  1. Indicate the billing address of the credit card's holder. This is the address to which are sent the bank statements. It needs to be entered exactly as it appears on your bank statements.
  1. Our partners being american companies, your credit card may not allow for transborder payments. Contact your credit card provider to solve the problem.

How much does a game cost?

  1. The price depends on the game you wish to purchase, but a game usually costs less than $20. To know its price, click on the corresponding Buy button.
  2. You can also take advantage of Game Club packs. This offer is only available for the games from our partner Big Fish Games.

What is the Game Club offer?

  1. The Game Club offer is an ongoing monthly membership designed to save you 50% or more on games. Every month your credit card is billed automatically ($6.99 or $7.99 or $9.99) for 1 game credit, 1 game credit allowing you to purchase 1 game. The minimum amount of game credits that you commit to purchase depends on the package you sign up for:

    - Casual Pack: 2 game credits minimum ($9.99 per unit) in the next 2 months.
    - Super Pack: 6 game credits minimum ($7.99 per unit) in the next 6 months.
    - Jumbo Pack: 12 game credits minimum ($6.99 per unit) in the next 12 months.
  1. You may cancel your Game Club membership after having bought the minimum amount of game credits corresponding to your Pack. If you choose not to cancel, you will continue to be billed each month according to your Pack. If you wish to cancel your membership click here.
  1. You can purchase additional game credits at any time for the price corresponding to your Pack. They will apply towards your minimum commitment. You may use your game credits at any time, as they do not expire.
  1. Your current game credits balance can be found in the My Game Club tab when you are logged into your account. Further information is available about game credits and when purchasing and using them.

Can I receive the game that I wish to purchase on a CD?

  1. You can get a back-up CD only for the games offered by our partner Big Fish Games. Just check the relevant box in the order form.

What is the content of the CD offered by Big Fish Games?

  1. The CD offered on the order page contains a back-up copy of the purchased game, a full version bonus game and 20 of our most popular games in demo version.

When I launch my game the screen display is black, white or unstable. What can I do?

  1. Check that you run the latest versions of your Video Card drivers; and the latest version of DirectX. You can get the latest version of Microsoft DirectX for free at the following address: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/directx/default.aspx

I get an error message while launching my game. What can I do?

  1. Windows can display error messages like Fatal Exception Errors, Illegal Operation Errors or Invalid Page Faults. These errors may indicate that Windows must be updated, the Video/Sound Card drivers are outdated, DirectX isn't installed or is outdated, too many programs run simultaneously.
    Update your drivers and DirectX to solve these problems. You could also try to use less programs simultaneously.

  2. If the problem persists, uninstall your game, download its install program again if you don't have it any more then reinstall your game.
